We respect everyone's right to choose for themselves if they would like to wear a mask in the studio. In accordance with the current New Haven recommendations, we are allowing our staff to choose individually if they would like to wear a mask. However, if a student has a medical need that would necessitate our staff to wear a mask, please let us know. We are dedicated to keeping the studio a safe space for all.

Public One-Time Lessons:

The perfect opportunity to get your hands muddy and go for a spin on the pottery wheel; no experience necessary. 

What You Need to Know:

• Public One-Time Lessons are $55/person, and a non-refundable $25 deposit is required to book.
• Up to 2 pieces are included in the lesson.
• The lesson is approximately 1.5 hours depending on the number of participants.
• Adult lessons are for adults and young adults ages 13+ (for younger participants, we can arrange a private lesson, we no longer offer public family lessons)
• Pottery is messy and we recommend that you bring an old towel with you. We do not provide aprons or towels to cover clothing.
• It can take 2-3 weeks for your pieces to be fired and ready for painting. We will give you a date when your pieces will be ready at the time of your appointment. After painting, your finished pieces are ready in one week.

Private One-Time Lessons:

These lessons run just like our Public One-Time Lessons, but are scheduled for your private group only. 

What You Need to Know:

• Private Lessons are $140/person for 2 people.  Each additional person is $70 and up to 6 people can join a lesson at a time. 
• Recommended for ages 7 and up.  We can work with up to 2 kids ages 4-6 during a lesson; but require a guardian to help them during the lesson.
• Private Lessons should be scheduled using our online booking system. 
• Up to 2 pieces are included in the lesson.
• The lesson is approximately 1.5 - 2 hours depending on the number of participants.
• Pottery is messy and we recommend that you bring an old towel with you. We do not provide aprons or towels to cover clothing.
• It can take 2-3 weeks for your pieces to be fired and ready for painting (this is included). We will give you a date when your pieces will be ready at the time of your appointment. After painting, your finished pieces are ready in one week.

6 Week Pottery Wheel Classes

Students will learn the basics and beyond of throwing on the pottery wheel. We cover a wide range of progressive skills and with small class sizes (see FAQs), we are able to work with each student's individual growth goals. 

To Cancel or Reschedule One-Time Lessons:

Cancellations can be made through the confirmation email sent when the class was booked. Each spot must be cancelled individually. The 50% one-time lesson deposit can be refunded in the form of a studio gift card with a minimum of 24 hours notice. For lessons that have been paid in full online, the other 50% will be returned in the form of payment received. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will forfeit the 50% deposit unless a student is found to take the cancelled seat, at which time we will issue a gift certificate for the deposit amount.
